Imagine forming and developing
relationships that really matter in life. Small groups at
Grace Church are designed to help grow relationships. Each
group will assist all participants in bringing life to three
important areas:
Your Relationship with God
In your small group, you will learn more about God and His
Word so that you may grow closer to Him and reflect Him in
everyday life.
Your Relationship with Others
You will develop lasting friendships with other participants
and strengthen your relationship with family, friends and
co-workers.
Your Relationship with your World
Each small group will also spend time practicing what they
have learned as they seek to make an impact in their world.
Small groups are encouraged to perform local service
projects, support missionaries, and even go on a short-term
mission trip together as they “live-out” what they’ve
learned.
Why not check out a small group today and begin experiencing
life-changing relationships.
Small Groups at
Grace fall into three basic categories that serve to equip,
grow and strengthen a person to follow after Christ. Below
is a description of the three types of groups:
Discovery
Groups
are designed to study and explore the Christian faith.
These groups train believers to reach their friends and
assist nonbelievers in exploring Christianity.
These groups will look at evidences for Christianity,
sharing faith with friends, answers to tough questions,
etc...
Family-Life Groups
are designed to strengthen and train participants to be
better husbands, wives, parents and even grandparents.
Each group will be different with a different emphasis.
These groups will focus on marriage enrichment, marriage
issues, parenting and grand-parenting.
Christian
Growth Groups
are designed to
help believers grow in knowledge of God’s word and in living
out their faith.
Studies will include books of the Bible, Christian living
studies, character development, and ministry training.
Please read the
descriptions of the small group studies below. The day,
times and location of the group is indicated along with a
description and contact information of the host or
facilitator. If you are interested in joining a group, make
sure you sign-up at the information table in the courtyard
or email the office. The limit for each small group is a maximum of
14 people. We will do the best we can to accommodate
overflow. Please include your name and email address and you
will contacted by your group leader for details.

Philippians
OVERVIEW:
“The gospel first entered Europe in a sacred
concert so successful that it brought the house
down!” That is how today’s headlines might
describe the earthquake that released Paul from
his cell in Philippi in response to his songs of
praise. Some years later while in a far distant,
Roman cell, Paul, with a wonderful note of joy
and thanksgiving, wrote one of his so-called
“prison epistles” to the saints at Philippi.
If Paul’s situations and his response to those
situations doesn’t seem to match, it’s because
Paul, as he said in Philippians 4:11-13, has
learned “...how to be content (satisfied to the
point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in
whatever state I am.
Paul had the same Lord and Savior we have. If
we’re not living as victoriously as Paul lived,
it’s not God’s fault.
In this practical study of Philippians,
participants will explore what Paul’s words mean
for those living in today’s world - you may be
surprised at how relevant they are!

Galatians
OVERVIEW:
The Apostle Paul wrote very concisely in
Galatians what he later expanded in Romans. This
letter to the churches in the region of Galatia
stands as one of the most simple and clear
teachings on the subject of true Christianity
and freedom. Paul addressed these new believers
to encourage them in their precious faith and
fellowship. He wrote also to warn them of those
who sought to weigh them down with legalism and
human traditions.
In this practical study, participants will take
a systematic tour of this amazing letter as they
link these important lessons to today’s
spiritual life. This group is designed for those
who desire to not just learn about a book of the
Bible , but seek out how the truths contained
within it help to shape the believer to walk in
true freedom, joy and purpose.

The Truth Project
OVERVIEW:
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group
revealed a stunning statistic that continues
to reverberate throughout the evangelical
world. Only 9 percent of professing
Christians have a biblical world view.
Because of this, today's believers live very
similarly to non-believers. A personal sense
of significance is rarely experienced, we
spend our money and time on things that fail
to satisfy and we begin to wonder what
life's ultimate purpose really is. We are,
in short, losing our bearings as a people
and a nation. This home study is the
starting point for looking at life from a
biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses
in great detail the relevance and importance
of living the Christian world view in daily
life.

Faith Lessons: Old Testament
OVERVIEW:
Because God speaks to us through the
Scriptures, studying them is a rewarding
experience. The inspired words were written
primarily to the Jews living in the ancient
Near East. We will gain greater
understanding about what they mean for our
lives today as we understand them first in
the historical and cultural context in which
they were written.
In this two part tour of the Old Testament,
participants will visit via video, the
actual sights of some of the most
significant moments in the journey of God’s
chosen people.
The group will look at God’s leading of His
people to His Promised Land for them and how
revealed His character and purpose. In the
second part of the study, participants will
examine how the consequences of the Hebrews’
daily choices played out through Israel’s
kings and prophets.
This will be a group for incredible
discovery, but also meaningful application
of God’s Word for real life today.

Intimate Marriage
OVERVIEW:
Contrary to what television and bridal
magazines tell us, marriage is about much
more than personal happiness. Marriage is
about spiritual growth. God wants to use
your marriage to shape your character and to
carry out His purposes in the world through
you as a couple.
In this practical and interactive study,
participants will be led by Scripture and a
fun video to examine and experience the joys
and challenges of the Intimate Marriage. The
group will be looking at several topics such
as: the goal of marriage, forgiveness,
dreams and demands, family ties,
communication and much more.
If you desire to get the most out of God’s
gift of marriage, don’t miss this study!

Firm Foundation
OVERVIEW:
Christianity is all about growth. Too often,
when someone receives Christ, they receive
little if any assistance to assure spiritual
growth. As a result, they can wander for
years in a maze of confusion, never
understanding why they are so unsatisfied in
their faith.
The first seven weeks we will be going
through the Network curriculum. This will
help you discover your God-given unique
gifts, passion and personality. You will
also discover how God has uniquely prepared
you to a special place in His family where
you can make a difference. You do not want
to miss this class!
The remaining weeks we will be taking an
whirlwind tour of the Old Testament. All are
welcome and you can join us for the first
half, the second half or both parts of this
group.
So, whether you are a new Christian
wondering where to go from here, or a
long-time Christian who knows you've missed
something somewhere along the way, this
group will be a safe-haven and a great place
to gain a firm foundation for life!
